What Tarot readings are and how they can help individuals, groups, countries or even the planet.

Tarot is a form of divination using a set of cards. It is so ancient, that no-one knows their origin. Arcane knowledge comes almost exclusively from ancient sources, though Edgar Cayce, Seth, Ramtha and less well known mediums have added to this body of knowledge, as have Crowley, Lovelace, and Osmon Spare. But modern day adepts seem to have personalized knowledge in a way reflective of their psyches, and although valuable, does not compare to the Tarot for its sublime charting of the archetypal. Like the I Ching, it is unsurpassed in profundity and wisdom, its principle blessing being that it is bound by the parameter of the questioner This means it cannot exceed the level of intelligence of the questioner or reader. It is therefore important when having a Tarot reading, to choose someone with the same level of consciousness as ourselves, otherwise it will be dissatisfactory. It's also important to know that Tarot cards have no power in themselves, for that lies solely within us.

The different images of the Tarot, work like a catalyst within the mind, or a key. They open specific doors to sections of 'world knowledge', (world knowledge being the sum total of everything). One could call this God, but it's worth remembering that interwoven with world knowledge, is love. Love is not the same as knowledge, but is quality and grace.

Tarot readings do not predict the future. They do not seal our fate, but show the consequence of any proposed action. They're an invaluable tool for making informed choice, adding to the process of choosing, the dimension of future. Could anything be more useful than informed choice? But how we use that knowledge is up to us.

To learn the language of symbols takes time, as one learns directly from repeating patterns and experiences. It takes a certain type of focus to collate this language, and there are no teachers. One can be aided on the unseen level to understand quickly and clearly, but any degree of internal stress will prevent this happening. Grace is the prerequisite for divination.

Tarot cards can be read in different ways. I like to use ten cards. They reflect, according to their position, immediate environment, influencing factors, secrets of the heart, and the best route home. They are spiritual, empowering, and accentuate our visionary capacity, our mind's eye. In the thousand readings I have done, there has been no woolly edge or inaccuracy. Having little trust in anything, I tend to approach things fairly scientifically, and to my surprise and delight have found the Tarot system faultless. Having an inquisitive and analytical mind, I have theories how the Tarot works, but whether those theories are right or wrong, it still works.

What is a Tarot Cards Signifier

Tarot cards date back to 1390 in France and a tarot deck has 78 cards. There are 22 cards in the major arcana and 56 cards in the minor arcana. The minor arcana consists of four suits which are the pentacles, wands, cups and swords. There are various spreads and many ways of reading the cards. Each tarot reader is slightly different. Some use their psychic abilities when doing a reading and others merely look at the cards and let the thoughts and imagery flow. The cards can usually convey their messages well.

Many readers do not use a signifier but others prefer to. It is a matter of personal choice and you might prefer to try reading both with and without, to see which method suits you the best.

A tarot Card signifier, also known as a significator, is one card chosen from the pack to represent the querent (person you are reading for). A signifier is almost always a court card (king, queen, knight or page) and represents the temperament, age and coloring of the person the reading is for.

Kings and queens are usually people over 36 who are, or have been, married. Knights are younger and Pages can represent children of either gender.

Another way of choosing a signifier is to match only the physical characteristics of the querent so, for example, the King of Pentacles could represent an older, dark-haired male. You could match the personality too. The Queen of Swords perhaps could represent an older female who is stubborn and has strong beliefs. Different readers use differing systems. Some use only physical characteristics, some only age and hair color and some have their own systems altogether. The tarot is a very personal thing so whatever card a tarot reader chooses to be your signifier, that is their choice and will produce the best reading from them. There is a lot of intuition involved in selecting signifiers. Sometimes one just feels right even if it has the wrong color of hair or is in the wrong age bracket. You should always go with hunches when it comes to reading the cards.

The good thing about using a signifier is that it guarantees the reading will be only about the person asking for it, as you focus on the signifier whilst performing the tarot reading. However, it does take one card from the tarot pack, which might otherwise have been in a key position with a message. For example, if in a reading you get the Page of Wands in a spread, that card can mean that there is a creative restlessness within the querent and it is time to begin a project. If you are using the Page of Wands as a signifier, that card will not be able to appear in the spread. Other cards can convey similar messages but that is one thing to bear in mind (unless you use a second tarot deck for the signifier cards).

There are reasons for and against the use of a signifier and it does very much depend on the reader and what he or she is comfortable with. Being comfortable and happy with the manner of the reading usually ensures the best results.

Psychic Reading: Tap into the Unknown

Professional Tarot Card Readings By some of the finest readers in the World who are waiting for you now

What is a psychic reading? A psychic reading allows us to tap into the unknown through a variety of psychic mediums. Mediums can be clairvoyant, but they don't have to be. A medium can be a channeller, an astrologist or a Tarot card reader. But one thing is certain: a psychic reading will not provide you with an absolute, one hundred percent answer to specific questions. If a reader claims such abilities, more than likely they're not legitimate.

To protect yourself and your pocketbook, do a little research before you seek out the services of a psychic reader. Not only will you be able to better determine exactly what kinds of services will suit your needs, you'll be able to narrow down the field to those who can specifically address your unique questions or concerns.

The most important thing to realize when it comes to looking for a psychic reading is to remember that a psychic is not a mind reader. A psychic is someone who has an ability to sense things on a different plane than most people, and whether you believe in psychics or not, documented evidence exists that prove that sometimes fact is stranger than fiction.

A psychic reading can provide dream interpretation and the likelihood of certain events to occur. People who experience recurring dreams often seek out the help of a psychic to interpret the meaning or resolution of such dreams. Psychics know and understand that the subconscious mind and spirits often try to tell us things that we're just not attuned to hear, and that's where the medium comes in.

For most, a psychic reading will offer guidance and support for dealing with and confronting certain details or events in a person's personal or professional life. Our future is always filled with choices, and many seek help in making the best choice. A psychic reader may read cards or crystal balls, or perhaps consult numerology or astrological charts to offer their reading. Don't expect a reader to be able to answer all of your questions definitively. They will offer options and possibilities, but not specific answers. If you don't like what a psychic reader tells you, don't automatically assume that they're wrong. If you're not willing to be open-minded about results, then don't waste your time, or theirs. Again, readings offer possibilities, not definite answers and directions, and if you understand that before consulting a psychic, then your mind will remain open to potential possibilities and solutions to just about any problem.

Believe it or not, you have certain obligations to meet when you consult a psychic reader. One of the most important aspects of obtaining a successful reading is to have an open mind and be willing to consider what the reader tells you. Of course, you don't have to accept everything the reader suggests. It's okay to question and doubt, but if you go in to the psychic reading filled with cynicism and doubt, you will gain little from it.

The Death Card

Professional Tarot Card Readings By some of the finest readers in the World who are waiting for you now

As a tarot card reader, part of your job is to read a person's cards in a manner that inspires trust and satisfaction in your client. You must read your client's combination of cards in a fashion that is true to the cards but realistic and positive at the same time.

With that in mind, there is no card that inspires more dread and misunderstanding in clients than Death. For people that are unfamiliar with Death, they will naturally assume the worst when they draw this card. After all, the grim, skeletal figure of this card naturally conjures up thoughts of death, suffering and our own mortality. Many clients will assume that either they, or someone they know is about to meet their maker, if they draw this ominous card!

In fact, the card Death has absolutely nothing to do with actual death. But it is your job to allay in your client their natural fears, and point out the true meaning of the card. Actually, interpreting the card Death and explaining its true relevance to a client, is something that I regard as a rite of passage for all new tarot card readers. It tests your ability to calmly connect with your client, meaningfully ?unpack? the true meaning of the cards and inspire in them trust and understanding. If you cannot do this with success, then you might need to practice more before you take you divining skills to the world!

What does Death stand for?

As I said, the first thing you need to explain to your client is that drawing the card death should not be taken literally. It does not stand for physical death at all, despite its frightening natural implications. It is, however, a very powerful card with serious connotations.

The best way to introduce the card Death is to ask your client ?What does death stand for?? The first thing your client is likely to say is actual physical death, dying and absence. After they have made the obvious literal connections, ask them to offer non-literal meanings. No doubt they will start to think more creatively by giving more abstract meanings, like ?the end of something?, ?the finishing of a journey?, ?ending one chapter of your life, and embarking on another?. Indeed these secondary understanding of the card Death are more accurate. After all, Death is merely a symbolic card that represents the end of one thing, and the beginning of something new and unknown.

So, in a sense, Death certainly does imply that something in your client's life is dying or coming to an end, but with that death there will come rebirth and new life.

Interpreting Death for your client

The card Death is a very important card because it foreshadows that your client is about to experience a significant change in their life. It is a card the signals the end of one stage in your client's life, and the beginning of an entirely new phase. This process of ending and beginning should not be a frightening thing at all, but rather an opportunity for your client to overhaul their life.

Like when we experience a death in real life, your client should expect to feel a mixture of emotions when they end this era. Like when we say goodbye to a loved one, your client may not want to let go of the phase that is ending. They may feel unprepared, sad and want to cling to a particular situation despite the fact that it is naturally dying.
Explain to you client that when the experience the end of this era, they may feel all the emotions that accompany grief, like disbelief, anger and finally acceptance. This is all normal, and is part of the process.

Encourage your client to reflect on their past, understanding that each phase in our life has a ?mortality? of its own. As with our physical existences, we cannot always control our destiny. Drawing the card Death means you client should be ready for major change, but it is your job as their reader to encourage them to embrace change philosophically, as we accept physical death philosophically.

Last points

Explaining the card Death to a client is a challenge but it is an important step in becoming a competent, inspiring reader. As a general point to people who want to start reading cards, there is no greater piece of advice than to first teach yourself how to be an effective communicator. The card Death shows us that no matter how intuitive we are, no reader is worth their salt if they cannot communicate effectively. After all, your clients are relying on you and expect a faithful but positive explanation of their cards. You need to allay their fears when they draw Death, reminding them it is only symbolic not literal.

Welcome to the

Tarot

HOW THEY WORK - Tarot cards vibrate with

the energy from the querent (person asking

the question) and is amplified by the

reader. Since we are a part of the collective

conscious, a good reader can amplify the

energies to see well beyond the room.

They tap into the spirit world on occasion

and future events can be seen due to the l

ack of time in the spirit world.

THE CARDS - There are 78 cards that are

split between Major and Minor Arcana.

The 22 major cards have a bigger

significance in the reading, and a lot of

them in a single reading has very strong

meaning of many forces working for or

against the querent. The rest of the 56

cards are like a regular deck with an

extra face card. There are 4 suits

commonly known as:

Wands - matters of growth, active energy

and new enterprises.

Cups - matters of love and family.

Swords - matters of strife and conflict.

Discs - matters of money and the material world.

WARNING - When you buy a deck, it is yours.

It vibrates with your energy and wants to help you help

others. This is your deck, so do not lend it to anyone.

Tarot cards are very powerful. You can use the deck

to strongly enhance your spells like candle burning.

The main warning here is not to do negative spells with

your deck. If you do, your deck will become chaotic

and its original purpose of regular readings will

become no longer possible. You must also

destroy the deck with a spell of disenchantment and

burn them. Thus, do not use the deck for this purpose

unless absolutely necessary
